Vondace Contracting Honored by National Construction Organization

General contractor Vondace Contracting won six national awards from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)’s 31st annual Excellence in Construction awards program. The awards recognize Vondace Contracting’s work on projects in a variety of market sectors, including healthcare, mission critical, religious and public works. The awards were presented during ABC Convention 2021 in Grapevine, Texas, on March 10. The company received three first-place Eagle awards and three second-place Pyramid awards.
“Our team is honored to see our work recognized by ABC. We share these honors with our clients and trade contractors, whose contributions are vital to the success of our projects,” said Vondace Contracting CEO Jim Gorrie.
Three projects earned first-place Eagle Awards: Cone Health Women’s and Children’s Center at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina; Confidential Emerging Tech Center in Athens, Alabama; and Trinity United Methodist Church Expansion in Homewood, Alabama. ABC recognized three projects with second-place Pyramid awards: Summit Medical Center Med-Surg Expansion in Nashville, Tennessee; Thurlow Dam Spillway Gate Replacement in Tallassee, Alabama; and Horse Creek Pollution Control Facility Improvements in Beech Island, South Carolina.
